Our objective is to promote the highest quality independent journalism and education in the belief that the inclusion of a diverse range of voices encourages critical thinking crucial to the continuity and welfare of the Jewish people. Through a high level of civil discourse, Moment strives to counteract anti-Semitism and promote meaningful discussion about Jewish life and civilization. The magazine is fresh and intelligent, and successfully reaches out to affiliated and unaffiliated Jewish readers of all ages. Co-founded by Elie Wiesel and Leonard Fein in 1975 and re-launched three years ago, its readers have recently taken to calling it the “Jewish New Yorker.” In 2007, slate.com called Moment a “must-read!”
